Established in early 2024, Sterling Farmery (now a Certified Wildlife Habitat with the NWF) has been working hard to take their small hobby farm to a fully sustainable homestead. What started as three ducks and a dream in a small backyard of Clearwater, Florida, lead to the purchase of a beautiful 20-acre agricultural plot in the hills of Brooksville. With seven workable acres on a 90 acre lake (and zero experience), we quickly started adding to our flock with more heritage breed ducks. Within a year we had our first mini highland cow and now, two years later, our farm is home to two mini highlands, a holstein dairy cow, ducks, geese, turkeys, chickens, bunnies, a tortoise and now, a mini donkey and her foal!
